Youth mental health organisation Orygen is pioneering the use of immersive technologies for clinical therapeutic application. The Immersive Media Lab at Orygen offers a space where young people can recreate real-life experiences using digital tools such as virtual reality (VR) with th support of clinicians.
This innovative space provides a framework that allow visitors to transition between real and virtual immersive environments bringing to life therapeutic concepts such as self-compassion, mindfulness, or acceptance therapy via interactive VR experiences. Addressing youth menta health issues is a critical public health concern. Safe and innovative space such as this can assist in furthering treatment and research within this important field.
