A social housing project in regional Victoria, developed through a co-design framework in collaboration with local Elders, custodians and community members. The program brings together housing, health and community spaces, responding to community-identified needs for a safe, supportive and culturally grounded environment. The brief and project design were shaped through ongoing dialogue, exploring the connections between landscape and architecture and the creation of spaces that heal and bring people together.
A number of layered seating areas are designed to provide refuge and connection to the garden.

The welcome spaces are characteristed by colour, pattern and natural materials

The landscape design is connected by a central soak line -
a figure that carries the broader water story of the
Wimmera region through the site The garden is fed slowly
by rainwater, captured in a number of tanks across the site....

























































Each dwelling has a entry nook,
providing a space to rest and
view the garden, while feeling
contained.
